ADE funding should also be used to improve school infrastructure in Mecanhelas

Many students in the Mecanhelas District of Niassa study in precarious conditions. For this reason, the district administrator is calling on school managers to take responsibility and improve school management in order to ensure a conducive teaching and learning environment.

This call includes the proper management of funds directed to schools under the Direct Support to Schools (ADE) program, which aims to improve the conditions of educational institutions.

The district administrator urges for solutions to be found to move students out of open-air classrooms. José Abibo Iassine issued this challenge during a meeting with school directors from the district.

Mecanhelas is one of the most populous districts in Niassa, with over 300,000 inhabitants. It has around 250 schools and nearly 20,000 students across various education systems. (Jaime Paculeque)
