The District Government of Ancuabe, in Cabo Delgado Province, continues to carry out assistance and monitoring actions for families displaced as a result of recent terrorist attacks affecting some communities in the district.
On Sunday, May 10, government teams visited the communities of Nsanja, Nanjua A and Nanjua B, where several families are being sheltered after fleeing their homes for security reasons.
According to preliminary information, the displaced families come from the communities of Nacole, Minheuene, Nacoja and Namacuili, areas affected by the instability currently affecting the region.
During the visit, the District Administrator of Ancuabe, Belmiro Casimiro, expressed solidarity with the affected families and assured them that the Government will continue supporting the population.
At the same time, an assessment of the main humanitarian needs of the displaced families is underway, in coordination with Government partners operating in the district. Priority is being given to food assistance, shelter and support for vulnerable people.
District authorities have guaranteed that they will continue monitoring the security situation and strengthening assistance efforts for the affected communities. (Mozanorte)
