Suspected terrorists attack V Congresso village in Macomia

Armed men, believed to be terrorists, attacked the village of V Congresso on Thursday night (June 19), in the administrative post of Chai, Macomia district, in the central region of Cabo Delgado province.

So far, Mozanorte has not obtained further details about the incident, but several local sources have confirmed that the attack did take place.

Despite the insecurity, vehicles were seen leaving Macomia this morning heading toward the northern part of the province.
