The "Acredita Emprega" program is an initiative of the Secretariat of State for Youth and Employment (SEJE), offering various forms of training for young people.
On the morning of Friday, February 7, 2025, 85 young people graduated in Mecufi headquarters, in the southern region of Cabo Delgado, northern Mozambique, from two courses. Seventy-eight participated in the Agricultural Extension course, focused on poultry farming and sales, with training conducted in Mecúfi district, while seven graduated from the Automotive Mechanic course, with training held in the city of Pemba.
Fernando Abel Neves, Administrator of Mecúfi district, encouraged
the young graduates to put into practice what they had learned in order to
create more job opportunities for other young people. He also urged them to
develop a sense of responsibility and to remain ambitious in their pursuit of
further learning.
Fátima Valentim and Félix Bonifácio, young graduates in the Agricultural Extension field, promised to implement the knowledge they acquired to develop a poultry farming and sales business.
Meanwhile, Sunte Alua committed to opening a motorcycle repair workshop. (Libério Dinis)
