Cabo Delgado "Acredita Emprego" Trains over 200 professional technicians in Montepuez

On Thursday, February 6, 2025, the professional training program "Acredita Emprego" celebrated the graduation of 232 new technicians in various fields of study in the district of Montepuez, Cabo Delgado Province, in northern of Mozambique.

The graduation ceremony marked an important step in equipping the youth of the region, preparing them for the job market and entrepreneurship.

The graduates completed courses in five technical areas, namely Mechanics, Poultry Farming, Tailoring, and Culinary Arts.

Among them, 153 are women and 79 are men, all equipped with new skills and abilities that enable them not only to seek employment but also to start their own businesses and contribute to the economic and social development of their communities.

During the ceremony, the newly graduated students expressed great joy and satisfaction upon completing the courses, which represent the culmination of a learning cycle that integrated both theoretical and practical training, preparing them for professional life and the job market.

The Administrator of Montepuez District, Isaura Máquina, attended the ceremony and took the opportunity to encourage the graduates to maintain hope and determination despite the challenges they may face in the job market.

In her speech, she emphasized the importance of technical training as a means of ensuring the livelihood and well-being of families, as well as encouraging the graduates to apply the knowledge they have acquired in an innovative and entrepreneurial manner.

Isaura Máquina highlighted that "Acredita Emprego" is a crucial initiative for transformation, as it not only prepares young people for formal jobs but also strengthens the culture of entrepreneurship, which is essential for creating new income opportunities and reducing poverty.

The program, which aims to equip young people with the technical skills demanded by the market, has been a response to the need to train qualified professionals in fields where the province has significant growth potential. The training of these new technicians not only strengthens the local job market but also contributes to economic stability and improvements in the quality of life in Cabo Delgado, which has faced development challenges due to insecurity and other regional factors.

The graduation ceremony was marked by an atmosphere of optimism and hope, with the graduates eager to put into practice what they have learned and, in doing so, improve their own lives and those of their communities.
