Displaced families in Nandimba struggle with scarcity of resources

Families displaced by terrorist incursions in Cabo Delgado since 2017, currently sheltered at the Nandimba resettlement center in the Mueda district, northern of Mozambique are facing a severe shortage of essential resources that are crucial for their well-being.

Water, food supplements, and basic materials such as new tarpaulins for shelter are among the main challenges reported by families living in these resettlement according to our sources.

According to anonymous sources, the situation has become unsustainable ever since the World Food Program (WFP) halted its food aid, as well as other organizations that have also stopped providing assistance.

Since then, the families have not received adequate support to meet their daily needs.

The residents are managing these hardships amid such adversity and they hope for assistance from the government and its partners, aiming for the allocation of basic resources for food, hygiene, and shelter coverage. (Mozanorte)
