KARMOL supports needy associations by donating 100 tons of food

The Maternal and Child Support Center Madre Maria Pilar, located in Nacala-Porto, Nampula Province, was the recipient of a donation of 100 tons of various food products such as rice, maize flour, butter beans, oil, and sugar last Saturday. The donation benefited four associations that assist vulnerable people.

The institutions receiving the donation included the Nacala District Hospital, the Africa Muslim Agency Orphanage, the Madre Maria Pilar Children’s Center, and the Okhaliheryana Association. The representatives of the associations expressed their happiness and gratitude for Karmol's generous gesture and called for more support in the future.

This solidarity gesture by the company will make a significant difference in the lives of the beneficiaries, helping improve their nutrition.

Beneficiaries expressed their gratitude for the donation of the various products.

"This gesture comes at a very timely moment, as you know, our city was severely affected by the cyclones, and the situation in the country is very difficult. When we receive a donation like this, it is something we must be thankful for, and we ask that you continue to help us in the future," said Ayuba Assane, representative of the Africa Muslim Agency Orphanage in Nacala-Porto.

Sister Berenice from the Madre Maria Pilar Children's Center also expressed her thanks: "I want to thank Karmol for the support they have provided. Our center has received many people in need of food and other essential items, and we will distribute this donation to the families who come to us seeking food."

Carla Vicente, representative of the Nacala District Hospital, explained, "This opportunity that Karmol has provided is very positive. Our patients will be more satisfied as they will have meals during their mealtime. We ask that you continue this gesture of support."

Karmol’s director, Angel, affirmed that this gesture should not stop here: "We are willing to make more donations to continue bringing smiles to more people in Nacala-Porto."

It is important to highlight that this initiative is part of the efforts to alleviate the damage caused by the extreme weather, including Cyclone Dikeledi, which affected the city of Nacala. (Gabriel Cassimo)
