Three people lost their lives and another seven were injured two of them seriously following a road accident that occurred on the night of Saturday, June 28, on National Road No. 13 (EN13), between the villages of Lussangasse and Muita, in the district of Mandimba, Niassa Province.
The accident involved a Noah vehicle with registration AGP 488 MC, which was carrying ten passengers.
During the journey, particularly in the Cuamba–Mandimba stretch, the vehicle veered off the road. Available information indicates that the accident was caused by an illegal overtaking maneuver, which led to the vehicle losing control and overturning.
The injured are currently receiving medical treatment at hospitals in Mandimba and Lichinga, according to the sources.
