On November 15, 2025, terrorists attacked the village of Nampanha in Cabo Delgado province, one of the districts most affected in the region from the district headquarters to its villages, localities, and administrative posts.
In the early years, the attacks were concentrated in the district headquarters, Xitaxi, Chitunda, and Miangaleua, but now nearly the entire district is affected. Less than a week after the previous attack, which occurred on Saturday, the terrorists struck again in the village of Campanhã, where they killed a student from Vyaka Sabini Secondary School in the same district.
They entered the village at around 9:00 p.m., shooting two people one fatally and the other seriously injured. They then looted goods from two stalls before leaving the area at around 10:30 p.m. They did not enter many residences.
Due to the insecurity, many people in the villages of Muidumbe district have been sleeping in the bush. At present, probably the defense and security forces deployed in the area are struggling to contain the situation, which has already spread throughout almost the entire district. (Mozanorte)
