Eráti celebrates International Children's Day with a call to protect children's rights

The district of Eráti marked International Children's Day this Monday with various activities dedicated to promoting children's well-being and rights. The celebrations were held under the theme, "Educating a Child is Everyone’s Responsibility," highlighting the importance of the involvement of families, communities, and institutions in shaping future generations.

During the ceremony, the District Administrator of Eráti, Januário André, emphasized the fundamental role of children in the development of society, describing them as the district’s, the province’s, and the nation’s greatest asset. In his speech, he encouraged children to invest in education and to cultivate values such as respect, friendship, and solidarity.

The administrator recalled that Mozambique’s future depends on the commitment and preparation of today’s children, who may tomorrow assume essential roles in various professional fields and contribute to the progress of their communities.

The occasion also served to reinforce the collective commitment to promoting and protecting children's rights, stressing the need to ensure a safe and supportive environment for their holistic development.

The celebrations concluded in an atmosphere of joy and fellowship, marked by messages of hope and wishes for a bright future for all Mozambican children.Esta versão está adaptada para um estilo jornalístico e institucional em inglês. (Ana Paula Clemente)
