Cipriano João Cassimo,
Second Corporal of the Police of the Republic of Mozambique, assigned to the
Provincial Command of Niassa, innorthern of Mozambique committed suicide on the morning of this Tuesday,
April 15th, in the barracks of the subunit, having shot himself in the neck.
According to a statement
from the 11th Rapid Intervention Subunit, the reasons that led this officer to
commit this macabre act are unknown, but the information shocked his colleagues
and friends in the corps.
At this moment, preparations
for the funeral ceremony are underway, and it is still not known when it will
take place; meanwhile, that unit expresses its solidarity with the family. Celestino
