A group of Rwandan soldiers
engaged in counter-terrorism operations in Cabo Delgado fell into an ambush by
Al-Shabaab militants on May 3rd, resulting in the deaths of at least three
soldiers on the spot.
During the same incident,
nine others reportedly sustained both minor and serious injuries and are currently
receiving intensive care.
This information comes from
propaganda channels associated with the Islamic State, which released a message
on Saturday confirming the incident along with photographs taken at the scene
in the Ntotwe area of Mocímboa da Praia district.
