Fifteen (15) representatives from associations and members of the District Platform of Civil Society Organizations in Chiúre were trained last week in financial management and the use of the Community Scorecard by CESC, in the district of Montepuez, located in the southern part of Cabo Delgado province.
The project, which will be implemented in three districts of the province namely Chiúre, Montepuez, and Balama includes key activities such as assessing government performance through the Community Scorecard, establishing the District Development Observatory, and monitoring government actions based on the District Economic and Social Plan and Budget (PESOD).
With a duration of five years, the project will be carried out by the district platforms of local organizations from the three (3) districts and is titled "Transparency and Accountability". (Celestino Carlos)
