The Monapo Teacher Training Institute (IFP), located in Nacololo locality, Nampula Province, in northern Mozambique, witnessed yesterday, 11 November of the current year, the graduation of a total of 88 teachers, committed to the training of the New Man.
In their message, the graduates praised the institution for the teachings provided over the three years of training, highlighting that they acquired a wide range of knowledge throughout their academic journey.
In this context, the Permanent Secretary of Monapo District, Renata Nakuvaneque, appealed to the graduates to distance themselves from any acts that could tarnish the image of the teaching profession.
Meanwhile, Rui Ramos, Provincial Director of Infrastructure and representative of the Secretary of State of Nampula Province, also addressed the newly qualified teachers, stating that the teacher is a fundamental pillar for the country’s development. He further urged the graduates to make good use of the training received in promoting the New Man and in fostering the sustainable development of the province and the country as a whole.
Information available to us indicates that this graduation of 88 new teachers corresponds to the first cohort trained under the 12th grade + 3 years training model. (Gabriel Cassimo)
