Nampula Provincial Directorate of Education denies the alleged incident involving a student at Murrapaniua 2 Primary School

The Nampula Provincial Directorate of Education has denied the information circulating about an alleged student at Murrapaniua 2 Primary School who was said to have brought a knife hidden in his school bag into the classroom and told a classmate that he intended to stab his teacher because she always assigned exercises to the class.

According to the circulating report, the student's classmate, concerned about the situation, alerted the teacher, who, with the support of the other students in the class, managed to disarm the student. However, the report did not provide any identifying details about the alleged student, such as his full name, age, grade, or class.

After becoming aware of the information, the Nampula Provincial Directorate of Education investigated the matter at the school concerned and concluded that it was false information. It subsequently issued an official statement clarifying that the report was untrue and urged members of the school council and the general public not to share or give credibility to unofficial information.
