The
District of Ribáuè, in Nampula Province, was the stage for an important event
on Monday, April 28, that promises to transform the lives of over 1,200
families.
Symbolic
delivery of equipment and checks totaling 979,775.49 MT was made as part of the
Small-Scale Aquaculture Development Project (PRODAPE).
This
support aims to modernize production and increase productivity, having been active
in the national market since 2021 and set to extend over five years.
The
project is an initiative of the International Fund for Agricultural Development
(IFAD) and focuses on reducing costs in aquaculture.
Eduardo
Abdula, the Governor of Nampula, emphasized the importance of responsible use
of the equipment and financial resources received.
With
this significant support, it is expected that the families in Ribáuè will not
only increase their aquatic production but also improve their quality of life
through sustainable income generation.
The
community is excited about the prospects that PRODAPE brings, signaling a more
promising future for aquaculture in the region. (Mozanorte)
