While
efforts to contain terrorist attacks continue without concrete results, members
of the local force, who operate in support of the Defense and Security Forces
(FDS), are facing difficult situations on the ground.
One
of the fighters is in critical condition after being wounded in a recent
confrontation with terrorists.
The
incident occurred on July 25
during a clash with a group of insurgents. The local force member, originally
from Miangalewa, was initially
treated at the Muatide hospital. However, due to the severity of his injuries,
he was transferred this Tuesday to the Mueda
District Hospital, where he is receiving more specialized medical care.
This case once again highlights the
vulnerability of local fighters who, often with few resources and limited
protection, continue to confront terrorism in various parts of Cabo Delgado
