The Metangula Municipal Council, in collaboration with the civil society platform Maganizo Yanga, held a meeting to identify three activities to be implemented next year, with funding from the LOCAL Project.
LOCAL has guaranteed the disbursement of 15 million meticais, and with this fund, the Metangula Municipality, in partnership with Maganizo Yanga, has defined the following priorities: the construction of the Chuanga Health Center, the construction of two additional classrooms in Seli neighborhood aimed at reducing the distance children must walk to school and the construction of a Type II Health Center in Matauale neighborhood.
According to Paulo André Chiendela, president of the Maganizo Yanga platform, “in partnership with the Municipal Council, we selected three top priorities for next year. The funding has already been secured by the LOCAL Project,” he said.
Chiendela added that these activities were selected from 11 proposals submitted by the municipal executive and represent the main priorities for 2026.
The Maganizo Yanga platform is composed of residents from all neighborhoods within the Metangula municipality. (Davide Muianga)
