The Governor of Nampula on Thursday (27) delivered in Nampula city new drones to reinforce surveillance and the response capacity of the Mozambican Armed Defence Forces (FADM).
With these devices, the forces will be able to monitor terrorist routes in districts affected by terrorism or any situation of expansion.
In his speech, the Governor stressed that the stability and sovereignty of Nampula depend largely on the daily dedication of the military.
He underlined that the work carried out by the forces on the ground has been crucial to ensuring the security of the population, which is why the provincial government has intensified operational support to the FADM. The delivery of the drones, he said, is part of this ongoing effort.
He explained that the new equipment represents more than technological tools. They constitute a significant advancement in the Armed Forces’ capacity for analysis, surveillance, and action, allowing information to be collected quickly, accurately, and safely.
The commander of the Samora Moisés Machel Military Academy, Major-General Francisco Mataruca, expressed his gratitude to the Governor, highlighting that the drones “will strengthen our training capacity and participation in the defence of the homeland.”
Remember that the districts of Memba and Eráti have been attacked by terrorists in this two weeks but FDS are chasing them and supposed to be kicked to Cabo Delgado. (Mozanorte)
